Netberg Launches a New Academia and Research Program
Taipei, Taiwan 19th of February 2020.
Today Netberg launches a new
Academia and Research Program, designed to meet a constantly increasing demand from the research community for high-performance and programmable Tofino-based platforms. It’s a complete package for Academia and Research organizations for a jump-start into networking programmability.
Universities, educational institutions, and research organizations can get access to advanced know-how on switching technology, engage with many geographically distributed community members to gain and share knowledge, and a full range of Netberg Tofino-based switches at a discounted price.
“Here at Netberg, we are strong believers in openness as a cornerstone of progress. We provided Open Networking products since the company was established. It’s obvious that new research initiatives in network technology require modern equipment and relevant knowledge, so a program was conceived to provide both,” says Alex Ustyuzhanin, CEO of Netberg. “Our goal was to reduce the financial burden of starting new projects and make knowledge exchange easier. Our new A&R Program, in partnership with Barefoot Networks, addresses both issues and gives researchers and students access to the latest high-quality equipment along with a place to share questions, knowledge and experience.”
