PRODUCTS

The Netberg Aurora 621 is a 25GbE multi-role switch suited for Top-of-Rack/Spine Datacenter, Enterprise, and CSP network deployments. It has 48 x 25GbE SFP28 and 6 x 100GbE QSFP28 interfaces and supports up to 64 interfaces using DAC break-out cables.

The system uses Broadcom Trident3-X5 silicon that introduces data plane programmability. The programmable pipeline allows new features to be added after deployment using in-field upgrade, providing capex investment protection for operators.

Support for new overlays and tunneling such as GENEVE, NSH, VXLAN, GPE, MPLS, MPLS over GRE/UDP, GUE, ILA, and PPPoE, new instrumental features bring intelligence to the network and push service capacity to the next level.

Performance is backed by quad-core Intel Atom C3508 processor, up to 16GB DDR4 memory and 32GB SSD drive for application deployment. RAS features include a redundant hot-swappable power supply (1+1) and fans (N+1) for lower maintenance costs. The switch has a BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) onboard to provide server-like monitoring and power control function through a shared Ethernet interface.

The system supports Netberg SONiC as the complete switching package, Ubuntu Linux and OpenBCM Broadcom Core Switch Software Development Kit (SDK) allow custom application development, and InfiniCore Visibility Studio for network visibility and management solutions.

Simplified deployment
  • With full Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) support, network operators can install the target Network Operating Systems (NOS) as part of data center provisioning in the fashion that servers are provisioned.
Network monitoring
  • Programmable support for enhanced network telemetry, including per-packet timestamping, Flow Tracker, microburst detection, latency/drop monitor, Active-probe-based in-band network telemetry, and in-band OAM processing; integrated with open-source BroadView v2 telemetry agent and analytics software
