logging host "10.3.254.1" ipv4 514 info
logging syslog
logging cli-command
logging syslog source-interface serviceport
The remote syslog server does not collect logs.
A bare minimum logging configuration looks like this:
logging host "10.3.254.1" ipv4 514 info
logging syslog
logging cli-command
logging syslog source-interface serviceport
The “show logging” command shows the number of relayed messages. It should be more than zero:
Log Messages Relayed : 168
In that case, the network administrator should check the settings for typing errors and the network for packet drops.
